I want to preface this by saying that I have yet to truly explore my “lesbian” tendencies.  In fact, I really wasn’t aware of them until I found out who k.d. lang was many years ago.  Since then she has been the only consistent “influence” on me in that regard.  I can’t really tell you why I am drawn to her.  But drawn to her I am!  I know this may sound corny or whatever, but I swear I have some strange attraction to k.d. lang that I can’t explain.  Not only is her voice the most gorgeous sound I’ve ever heard, and having been a musician I think her music is phenomenal, but I also have an involuntary attraction to her physically.  Her exotic look, her beautiful brown eyes, OMG if I ever met her in person I don’t know if I could help from throwing myself at her.  My husband knows this.  She is on my “get out of jail free” list (you know, like the one on Friends.)  You would think other known lesbians might make the same impression on me, but I swear it’s just her.  Just k.d. lang.  She has some strange influence on me that no other woman has.  Anyway, she remains an “Ingenue” to me, and I just had to share that part of myself….to be true to the honesty I am trying to maintain here on this blog.  Her latest album, Watershed,  is – and it’s no surprise – just beautiful.  Take a listen.  I don’t expect her to have the same affect on you as she does on me, but if you aren’t moved by her, you have to be freakin’ dead or something!
