Why am I posting about gay porn awards? Well, duh – there’s hot men in gay porn. Now I know I’ve complained in the past about how it’s annoying that most of the porn that’s marketed to women is gay porn, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s without merit. I mean, there’s some great eye candy in gay porn! Perhaps you might be thinking to yourself, “yeah, but seeing two men together is not my cup of tea…” Well hey, it’s not for everyone (though there are a growing number of women who are “coming out” – ha ha – and admitting that they’re into it! More on that in another post!) But there’s also plenty of solo action (yes, masturbation) in gay porn. And it’s worth taking a look at! Hey, we all know how much I love to see a dude jack off, and I don’t think I’m the only one – c’mon, girlz, admit it! And unless you’re banging a porn star (and God love you if you are, ya beyotch!) it’s pretty much all fantasy anyway. So who cares what team he plays for?! Anyway, THAT’S why I’m talking about gay porn, OK?
So…..TLA Gay just released their 2012 award winners, and boy are there some hotties on their list! For those of you not familiar with TLA Gay, they are an online gay porn mecca, known for (among other things) presenting annual awards based on public votes, and posting the winners in all sorts of categories. In fact they also have a non-porn awards list called the TLA Gaybies, which is just as interesting! Anyway, the TLA Gay awards are kinda like the People’s Choice Awards of the gay community and gay porn.
If you’re already into gay porn, this can’t be missed! And if you haven’t ever thought about it, or just realized you may be curious about it, then it also can’t be missed. Basically you’d have to be LAME to not check it out. OK, maybe not lame, but hey – these guys work hard to look so hot – at least you can appreciate that! So, go check out the TLA Gay Awards winners!

If you’re lucky enough to live in New York, you can go check out this exhibit. Maybe if it’s popular enough, it’ll go on tour and the rest of us will have an opportunity to check it out. In the meantime, I will put in my two cents. The exhibit is entitled, “Consent”, and deals with the vast chasm between people watching porn and people ADMITTING to watching porn. No doubt most of us would not be surprised at this commentary because most of us have probably watched some porn at some point, and have lied about it in some or all situations. Even with porn becoming more “mainstream”, more “accepted”, there is still a stigma, and folks still don’t want to cop to watching it. Quite frankly, I think it’s a shame, but I can’t completely take myself out of this very equation. There are DEFINETLY people in my life to whom I would NEVER even talk about porn, let alone admit I watch it. So there you go – I’m one of the statistics….

Not only is it an actual day, it has an actual website: InternationalWomensDay.com. On this day I hope you will take a bit of time to at least think about (if not do something about) the plight of women all over the world. I think this is an important subject, not only because I am a woman but because I have a daughter and I hope that she is able to grow up in a world where she can flourish, contribute to her fullest, and be happy. All girls should have this opportunity, this right. Here are a couple excerpts from the website about the organization and it’s mission:
International Women’s Day has been observed since in the early 1900’s, a time of great expansion and turbulence in the industrialized world that saw booming population growth and the rise of radical ideologies.
Annually on 8 March, thousands of events are held throughout the world to inspire women and celebrate achievements. A global web of rich and diverse local activity connects women from all around the world ranging from political rallies, business conferences, government activities and networking events through to local women’s craft markets, theatric performances, fashion parades and more.
Many global corporations have also started to more actively support IWD by running their own internal events and through supporting external ones. For example, on 8 March search engine and media giant Google some years even changes its logo on its global search pages. Year on year IWD is certainly increasing in status. The United States even designates the whole month of March as ‘Women’s History Month’.
So make a difference, think globally and act locally !! Make everyday International Women’s Day. Do your bit to ensure that the future for girls is bright, equal, safe and rewarding.

As promised, here are the photos I took at the 2012 AVN trade show at The Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas. The first day was industry day and was not very crowded, but when they opened it up to the public – yikes! The line for the public to get in was around the block! This is when it pays to be connected to the porn industry! I went up and got my industry badge and walked right in! There were a few sexies hanging out around the Hard Rock circle bar area, and then a mob right at the opening into the show. Brazzers had a huge booth right there, where their female talent were signing autographs and taking pictures. Then there were three big rooms that contained rows of booths – The Pearl ampitheater and a big ballroom housed the porn companies and then another ballroom had the adult retail stuff – sex toys and adult videos, etc. Everywhere was pretty packed with onlookers. And of course there were porn stars, young and old, male and female, and many industry people. Let’s just say it was excellent “people watching”! So, without further ado, I present….AVN 2012!:

Hey ladies! Well, the holidays had me all wrapped up (pun intended!) with family stuff and I haven’t had a chance to update O4Her in a while. But as most of you who have been keeping up with me over the years know, I do come back - even if it takes me a couple weeks or so! I hope your holidays and New Years were fantastic! And now, moving on!
This week is an exciting week in the world of adult entertainment! There are two big trade shows going on in Vegas this week: Internext (adult internet related) and AVN (adult film related). I will be attending both, and plan on posting about it (I know, I know – I said that last year and didn’t get around to it, but I mean it this time!) So, stay tuned!
